AtZ marine engineering expertise used on board the HMS Queen Elizabeth

The HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier, the largest built in the UK,  joined us here on the South Coast in August where she berthed for the first time in her home port since completing her sea trials out of Rosyth dockyard in Scotland.

AtZ are proud to have supplied our marine engineering expertise to the 280 metre, 65,000-tonne vessel, calibrating her DECKMA Hamburg OMD24 oil-in-water monitor whilst she was still in build.

The OMD24, situated within the engine room is part of a larger bilge water oil monitoring system, which will ensure the vessel is fully compliant to bilge water oil discharge regulations whilst on deployment.

AtZ welcome this impressive ship home and are looking forward to working with her over the years to come.
